“I know the challenge for seniors to stay mentally, emotionally, and spiritually engaged, reflect on a lifetime of knowledge, and how to best connect with others. My goal is to use dynamically created personalized stories help seniors engage with these narratives and with others to enhance overall wellness.”
My name is Bernard, I’m a behavioral strategist, former consultant/executive, author, and now founder of SilverBeacon, a project rooted in a simple but powerful idea: that personalized, dynamically generated stories can support wellness in older adults.
With a doctorate, two master’s degrees, and certifications in AI, gerontology, brain health, and aging-in-place, my work has always focused on human systems, change, and behavior — helping people and organizations navigate complexity. My background in psychology and organizational dynamics led me to one recurring insight: data and strategy matter, but it's the stories we engage with that shape how we feel, act, and grow — especially as we age.
SilverBeacon builds on that insight. It combines evidence-based approaches to narratives and aging with technology that delivers personalized, emotionally resonant stories tailored to each person’s interests and lived experience. This is not only entertainment. It’s a wellness interface — a way to reinforce connection, evoke memory, and enhance emotional, mental, spiritual wellness.
I’m now building out this vision: designing frameworks, shaping partnerships, and guiding development so that more people — families, caregivers, and professionals — can use story as a tool for dignity, vitality, and connection in later life.
